Preparation
1. Lightly sand all Smoothfoam shapes using a fine grit sandpaper.
2. Base coat flower pot and all Smoothfoam pieces with Multi-Purpose Sealer. Let dry.
3. Paint dowel rods and flower pot Whitewash. Let dry.
4. Paint two each of the Smoothfoam stars and one each of the Smoothfoam rings - True Blue,
Santa Red and Whitewash. Let dry.
5. Paint two of the Smoothfoam tapered rods (firecrackers) True Blue and three of them
Santa Red. Let dry.
6. Paint the Smoothfoam drums Whitewash. Let dry.
7. Dot the firecrackers with Whitewash in diamond patters all over.
8. Paint the top coats on the Rings & Stars, Galaxy Blue, Christmas Red and Crystal.
9. When drums are dry, apply Foamies stars.
Assembly
Center Piece
1. Glue 4” Ball into flower pot, then cover with shredded paper.
2. Push wire garland into tops of firecrackers.
3. Push dowel rods into stars and firecrackers, then push the other half of the rod into the
4” ball in the flower pot.
4. Push lemon grass stem into center of ball.
5. Glue ribbon around the rim of the pot.
6. Make a bow and glue it in front of the pot.
Three Standing Stars
1. Glue ring to bottom of drum.
2. Insert dowel in top of drum, insert stars in opposite end.
3. Tie ribbon on dowels. |
